Pi Contest Winners
The overall Winner of the Pi contest is Chuks Uzoka from 7th period. He memorized...

Adrian Wong came in 2nd place (also from 7th period).

Change in Calendars
Please take a look at the calendar for math. Due to a conflict, we have moved the six weeks test for math to Tuesday, Feb 19th. This will be after a long weekend (Monday is President's Day and students have a holiday...it is staff development for teachers).

PROBLEMS with the BLOG uploading
I wanted to let parents and students know that Google has been having issues with Blogspot...the site which we create our math blogs. It has been unable to UPLOAD photoes and files...this is how we are able to post our notes for you to see.
It appears that Google has fixed the problem...but we also wanted to remind you that it is the RESPONSIBILITY of the STUDENTS to take their notes during class. Since they are primarily copying these notes, they should be working on them during the assigned time during class. We are having many students are day dreaming or socializing during this time which is disruptive and is not teaching them some of the notetaking skills that they will be needing in future courses. If we continue to have students who do not use their time in class wisely, then we will not be posting notes.
We provide the blog as a courtesy for the students and their parents. We take our personal time to do these little extra things for our students and hate to see it being abused by a few kids. Please let your child know that they MUST take notes during class!
All that being said...we love the as parents you are using all the different tools that we can provide for your child. Keep in contact with us and let us know what is working for them!!!
