PROJECT: Displaying Data Graphically

Each teacher is using a slightly different format for this project so that we get a variety of different graphs, charts, tables, etc.  The information list below is from Mrs. Rebeles' class.  Check with your child and/or teacher to clarify information from another teacher.

There are two separate projects.  One is for PAP-6 and PAP-6/7 students and the other is only for the GT students.

This is a sample of a project for the PAP-6 and PAP-6/7 classes. Students need to survey 50 people.

They also need to get the participants initials.  This not only shows that the data is real (and not just made up) but also shows when all 5 pieces of data are shown.

From the data collected, the student will construct a double-bar graph.  The sub-categories need to be noted in the key.

The total column will be used to create circle graph.  The data will be converted to a percent (use FDP) then approximate percentages will be used to create the circle graph.
